What did your family do yesterday evening? What did you do last weekend? What did your parents d
8、o last weekend? (2) Ask several students to give a report about what his family did last weekend. Step 2: Talk (1) The teacher shows the students some photos and talk about them like this: Who is the woman in the picture? Can you guess where I was? Yes, you are right. I went to Beijing on summer vac
9、ation. Where did you go on your vacation? What did you do on your vacation?(2)Write the past tense verbs the students mentioned in their talks on the blackboard. 14、【Related Resources】 美國人的假期旅游 美國人的vacation中最常見的recreational activities (周末活動)就是tour(旅游)了,他們一到周末就全家出游。 在美國人的日歷上,大型假期每年多達十幾個,而十有八九是和星期六、星期日兩個雙休日連在一起的,因此,這種日子被美國人稱為 “long weekend”(長周末)。這種風俗也給美國的tourism(旅游業)帶來了無限生機。每到長周末,都市里租車行的生意十分興隆,其中可載多人的小型旅游車最為搶手。在旅游旺季,租車人往往要提前一個多月預定才能租到合適的車。 工薪階層的人往往采取坐長途汽車的辦法出門旅行,收入不太高但又買得起汽車的人常常駕車出游,相對奢侈的旅行方式則是坐飛機。乘飛機旅行的人享有快捷的優勢。美國境內各地機場附近都有數量極多、競爭激烈的租車公司,旅行者只要拿著錢和地圖就可以在陌生的城市中租到一輛車盡情游玩。相比之下,乘火車旅游的人寥寥無幾。 現在,旅游對于美國人的意義干脆就是生活是否有品位的一個標準。除了去周圍的famous places of interest(名勝)游玩之外,美國人也會去海邊、森林等地去享受大自然帶來的寧靜和休
