Lots of people came to help them.Step 5 單元復習過去進行時1. 概念: 表示過去某個時刻或過去一段時間正在進行的動作。2. 句子結構: 主語 + was/were + doing sth. + 時間狀語3. 時間狀語詞: at 5:00 yesterday afternoon, at that time, then 等連用, 或者用另一動作來表示過去的時間。如:They were playing basketball when she arrived.While they were playing basketball, she arrived.過去進行時與一般過去時的區別過去進行時著重描述當時正在持續進行的動作,它的特點是:暫時,持續和未完成,強調過程;一般過去時表示發生過的動作或存在的狀態,即表示動作發生過,而且已經結束了,強調結果。 1) Shirley _ a book about China last year but I dont know whether she had finished it A. has written B. wrote C. had written D. was writing 2) Mary _ a dress when she cut her finger. A. made B. is making C. was making D. makes 此題中was making 表示正在做衣服的過程,如用made 則表示這一動作已結束,做衣服的動作已結束與 cut her finger就沒有聯系。3) He _ (write) a letter, then went to bed.wrote 表示動作已結束,做另一件事,如用was writing就與went to bed 在邏輯上相矛盾。過去進行時側重表示動作延長的時間長度; 一般過去時表示過去某時發生過某事,側重說明事實。 He _ all night last night. (生動的描寫,他一直寫)He _ something last night (說明他寫了的事實)注:下列幾類動詞通常不用過去進行時。 表示狀態的動詞 be; 感官動詞:feel, hear, see, smell, taste等; 表示思維或心理狀態的動詞:believe (認為), forget, consider, know, remember, hope, wish, want 等; 表示所屬關系的動詞:belong, have, own, hold (容納)等。when, while區別:1. 由when引導的時間狀語從句,主句用過去進行時,從句應用一般過去時; 由while引導的時間狀語從句,主句用一般過去時,從句應用過去進行時。When the teacher came in, we were talking. 當此句改變主從句的位置時,則為: While we were talking, the teacher came in. 2. 如果從句和主句的動作同時發生,兩句都用過去進行時的時候,多用while引導。如: They were singing while we were dancing. 活學活用1.
