networks,thecompetitionsarealsoaboutparentsseekinga“senseofvictory"forthemselves,sheSid.“Itfeelsas
thoughparentsareusingtheirbabiesastoolstowingloryforthemselves,ratherthantrulyrespectingtheirkids'dignity
andnature."However,despiteherdislikeofthecontests,shehastwicevotedforthebabiesofclosefriendsbecause“it
