我記事很晚，所有關于童年的記憶，差不多都在父母與別人的閑談中得知。在很多人眼里，我是一個不折不扣的笨小孩。

上學第一天回家在巷口碰上母親，她問：“老師今天講了啥〞？我想了半天才擠出三個字：“腳板印。〞母親又問一起回來的某某，她說：“老師要我們腳踏實地，好好學習。〞大家一陣笑，我也跟著笑。一次不小心摔破了家中珍貴的花瓶，我把碎渣掃到地板中央，再搬個小凳老實地坐在旁邊。母親回來生氣地責罵時，我委屈地說：“老師講要表揚老實的孩子，您卻批評我！〞母親忍不住撲哧笑了。

也許智商有限加上讀書不用心，雖然花了時間做了副努力的樣子，小學時我成績并不理想。別人家的父母見了面總是夸自己的孩子如何了得，我父母只能一邊訕笑一邊借機脫身，回來了他們彼此撫慰說，孩子老實，心眼又好，讀書也自覺，就別逼她了。那時真想把課本煮了熬湯喝，像皮皮魯那樣，除此之外我想不到法子讀好書。

懵懵懂懂長到九歲，我的思想第一次發生了重大轉變。
