1、說課稿Unit 7 What does he look like?(Section A la-1c) 李倩瑜Good morning, everyone! Its my honor to be here to attend this interview. Im very glad to have an opportunity to talk about my teaching ideas. Today, this lesson is chosen from the first period of unit 7, activities 1a-1c of section A, in Book I
2、B. The title is What does he look like? I will explain this lesson from the following parts: 1. teaching material analysis, 2. teaching aims analysis, 3. Ss analysis, 4. teaching and learning methods analysis, 5. teaching procedures analysis. Now lets begin with part I teaching material analysis. I.
3、 Teaching material analysisIn this unit, the main topic and teaching key point is talking about peoples looks. The main topic is closely related to the Ss daily life, so it can inspire the Ss learning interests in communicating with each other in reality. In this situation, it will be helpful for th
4、e Ss to practice listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. This lesson is the first period of unit 7. Its an important course at the same time. In our daily life, we usually need to describe other people to introduce somebody or explain some circumstances. Today in this lesson, we will learn
5、how to ask and describe peoples looks. First, the Ss will learn the new words about peoples appearance at first. Then, the Ss will learn the target language to ask and describe peoples image. The Ss have learned the usage of present tense and the word like in the first term of Grade 7. In this lesso
6、n, the Ss will still learn the usage of present tense, and learn the different usage between like and look like, especially, the different usage between is and has. This is the consolidation and extension of the learning contents. II. Teaching aims analysisAccording to the teaching material and the
7、Ss knowledge level characters, I establish the following teaching aims:1. Knowledge aims: The Ss must master the new vocabularies and sentences. 1. New wordstall, short, medium, height, thin, heavy, build, curly, straight, hair, like2. Target language What does your friend look like? She is of mediu
8、m build, and she has long hair. What do you look like? Im short. Im thin. What do they look like? Theyre of medium height. What does he look like? He is of medium build. What does she look like? She is tall. She has curly hair. 3. The usage of like, look like, is, has. like (介詞)像,如同 look like 看起來像.
9、主語 + be (am, is, are) + 形容詞: be + tall/short be + heavy/thin be +(of)medium height /medium build 主語 + have/has + 名詞詞組: have/has + short /long hair have/has + straight/curly hair have/has + big / small eyes2. Ability goals: 1. To train the Ss to use proper words and sentences to describe peoples imag
10、e. 2. To improve the Ss communication skills in talking about height, weight, hair style. 3. To make the Ss learn to express ones own ideals or preference. 3. Emotion objects: 1. Lead the Ss to realize that dont judge the people by their appearance and to recognize the importance of talking about ot
11、hers looks politely. 2. Inspire the Ss interests. Set up the Ss self-confidence. 3. Let the Ss establish their own aesthetic views correctly. Guide the Ss to learn to praise others. 4. Teaching key points: Teach the new words about peoples looks, and guide the Ss to learn to use the target language

The usage of like, look like, is, has. like (介詞)像,如同 look like 看起來像. 主語 + be (am, is, are) + 形容詞: be + tall/short be + heavy/thin be +(of)medium height /medium build 主語 + have/has
14、 + 名詞詞組: have/has + short /long hair have/has + straight/curly hair have/has + big / small eyes5. Teaching difficult points: 1. The Ss can understand the usage of like, look like, is and has well. 2. The Ss can use multiple means of expression to describe peoples appearance exactly and completely in
15、 reality.III. Ss analysis Junior students in Grade 7 are active, lively and independent. They are interested in the new things. And they have strong memory and imitation abilities. Most of the Ss have the basic skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. While a small percentages of the Ss s
16、till have some difficulties in completing these tasks accurately, because they lack vocabularies. IV. Teaching and learning methods analysis According to the requirement of the new curriculum standard and the analysis of the Ss, I will use the methods of creating situation, playing guessing games an
17、d the method of task-based teaching. These methods will lead the Ss to learn the new words and the target language step by step. Using these methods can provide the Ss more opportunities to practice listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in English, that is to say, learning by using, learn
18、for using. In 45 minutes, in order to attract Ss attention, inspire Ss interest and make the class more lively and timesaving, Ill also use CAI courseware to present parts of the teaching contents. With the help of the various pictures, more Ss will participate in the teaching activities actively, s
19、o that they can learn faster and more accurately. In this situation, its more significant for Ss to preview text by themselves before class. After the preview, the Ss may grasp the new words faster and more accurately. So the preview is a good learning method. But listening and speaking are still ne
20、eded more cooperation practice. There are the other two methods following: Experience Practice Reflection Feedback is the best way for the students to study. This learning strategy is based on the 5p teaching method, that is to say, preparation presentation practice production progress . Pair works.
21、 The aim we learn English is for communication, so its very important for Ss to practice communicating abilities. Pair work can give Ss the chances to make dialogues about themselves. Now I am going to talk about the teaching procedures. V. Teaching procedures analysisStep 1. Preparation 1. Warming-
22、up Sing the English song How is the weather? Greetings(唱英文歌曲可以活躍課堂氣氛,師生簡短問候可以拉近師生距離,讓學生進入積極的學習狀態。)2. Revision T: What day is it today?S1: Today is . T: Whats the weather like today?S2: Its . T: Do you have a pen pal?S3: Yes, I have.(盡量選擇外貌特征矮胖的男生,為后續對話做鋪墊。)T: Where is your pen pal from?S3: He/She is
23、 from/comes from . T: Ah, I think youre an interesting person. I like you. I also want to be your friend, OK?S3: OK.(復習What/Where引導的特殊疑問句以及一般現在時句子謂語結構的運用,激活學生已有的舊知識,為感知新的語言知識打下基礎。)Step 2. Presentation 1. Present the new words short, heavy, hair.T points at S3 (Step1 中的學生) and says to the whole Ss: N
24、ow class, I have a new friend. Please look at my new friend. What does he look like? Is he short? (T用手勢表達short的意思, T acts out the movement.)T helps the Ss answer: He is short. Then the Ss repeat He is short. one by one. T still points at S3 (Step1 中的學生) and says to the whole Ss: What does he look li
25、ke? Is he heavy? (T用手勢表達heavy,hair的意思) T helps the Ss answer: He is heavy, and he has short hair. Then the Ss repeat He is heavy, and he has short hair. one by one.At the same time, T writes the new word short, heavy, hair on the Bb or CAI courseware.2. Present the new words tall, thin, straight.T p
26、icks out the S4. S4 may be obviously tall and thin, and has long straight hair. T points at S4 and ask the whole class What does she look like?. S5 may be obviously medium height and medium build.T points at S5 and ask the whole class What does he/

Then the Ss repeat He/She is of medium height. one by one.T still asks to the Ss: What does he/she look like?T explains to the Ss: He/She is not thin or heavy. He/She

Then the Ss repeat He/She is of medium build. one by one.T shows a photo of a girl who has short curly hair on the Bb or CAI courseware.T points at the girl and asks to the Ss: What does she look like? 30、epeat She has short curly hair. one by one.At the same time, T writes the new word medium height, medium build, curly on the Bb or CAI courseware.(分別以外貌特征是高、矮、胖、瘦,長直發、短卷發的學生為例,與學生直接發起談論外貌長相的對話,并且借助T手勢比劃,這樣來呈現新課新單詞,直觀有趣,讓學生身臨其境,激發學生學習興趣和想象力。用來呈現新課的最佳對象就是學生本人。通過以學生本人為例,與學生直接進行交流,逐一呈現新單詞,讓學生眼、耳、心、口并用,鍛
31、煉了學生視聽說的能力以及邏輯思維能力。)Step 3. Practice1. Complete 1a. Play a competition game.Let the Ss play a competition game. Who can match the words with the people in the picture rapidly and accurately? Then T checks the answer.2. Complete 1b. Practice listening.Play the recording the first time. Ss only listen
32、. Play the recording the second time. Ss fill in the blanks in the picture and answer the Q. Play the recording the third time. Ss read after the tape recorder. Pay attention to their pronunciation. Then check the answer.(合理運用教材,靈活處理練習,1a復習鞏固單詞,激發學生競爭意識,促使學生正確理解單詞的書面意思與實際意義之間存在的關聯。1b培養學生聽力技巧和方法,提高學生
33、聽力。)3. Talk about the famous stars looks.T shows some photos about the famous stars to the Ss, such as Cheng Long, Fan Bingbing, Liu Shishi, Feng Shaofeng, Yang Mi. Let the Ss talk about their looks in pairs like this:A: What does . look like?B: He/She is . . He/She has . .(用剛學的目標語言,談論明星的外貌長相,激發學生的興
34、趣,使學生能積極主動參與談話交流,增強學生合作意識,鍛煉學生自主創新能力,促使學生熟練掌握運用目標語言。) 4. Mechanical practice.Show some cartoons of people on Bb or on CAI. Let the Ss use new words and target language practice in pairs like this: A: What does . look like? B: He/She is/has . . (小組機械練習,反復操練目標語言,旨在使學生熟練掌握新知識,并能在日常生活中靈活應用。增強學生合作意識,鼓勵學生
35、積極參與人際交流。)Step 4. Play a guessing gameAsk Ss to work in groups of four. SA describes one classmate of all by using He/She is . He/She has . . Other Ss guesses Whom does SA describe?. Then Ss change the role and play again. Who can guess quickly and accurately? At last, we will pick out the best gues
