1、 七(上)Unit 8 when is your birthday ? SectionB (1a1d)說課稿 (薛集中學 英語老師 朱秀珍 No. 9 )Good morning, everyone. My name is Zhuxiuzhen, Im from Xueji middle school. Im glad to be here to share my ideas of teaching with you. The lesson I am going to talk about is “go for it, Unit8 When is your birthday? Section

2、B(1a1d). It is selected from the PEP version, Grade 7, book 1. I will talk about it from six parts. They are Teaching material analysis ; Students Analysis; Teaching Methods and Learning Strategies; Teaching Procedures; Blackboard Design and teaching reflection. I will introduce my teaching plan one

3、 by one. Now, lets begin.Part One . Analysis of teaching material lets see the first part: Analysis of teaching material. In this part, I will analyze the teaching material from these four aspects. 1. Status and Function Lets begin with the Status and Function . The topic In this lesson is about the

4、 dates of some events. In section A students have already learned the months, the dates, and “when “questions. In this lesson students will use what they have learned to make more practices to master these sentences structures. It will make further improvement on students abilities of listening and

5、speaking so as to make them ready for the following reading and writing parts. Teaching objectives. The second aspect is Teaching objectives. I divide the objectives into knowledge objectives, ability objectives and emotion objectives. (1). knowledge objectives. First, knowledge objectives. In this

6、lesson, we will review the ordinal numbers and the months. And students should try their best to master some new words, useful expression and structure. learn to express the dates of some important events. (2). Ability objectives A. To improve students listening and speaking ability. B. To learn to

7、cooperate with others and communicate with others on dates(3) .Emotion objectivesA. Enable the students to arrange their own time , plan their study and activities reasonably to make their study efficient and the life colorful.B. learn about the important days in China ,and Cultivate their love for

8、life3. Key and Difficult Points The third aspect, Key and Difficult Points. A. As For the key points, Ss will learn some words and sentence structures about dates of some events . ss should pay more attention to “when” questions and possessives B. The difficult points are that my students can predic

9、t the main ideas of listening, use the target language to communicate and Introduce their own schedule 4. Teaching Aids As for teaching aids, Id like to use some Multi-media computer, blackboard, PPT. .cartoons, pictures and tape recorders to help me in class. Using these aids, I can not only attrac

10、t ss attention and interest, but also express knowledge more easily and clearly. Part Two: Analysis of students As we know , students is the center of teaching activity, they play an important role in teaching procedures. Most of my students are curious, active and creative, But some of them are eas

11、y to be absent-minded and always make grammatical mistakes. so some of them are shy, they arent good at communication. So Ill provide real contexts, various tasks and challenging activities. The purpose is to motivate students learning enthusiasm and cooperative spirit. Part Three: Teaching Methods

12、and Learning StrategiesI will use several methods in my class. Then lets see The teaching methods 1.The teaching methods The teaching methods Ill use are: Task-based teaching methods, situational teaching methods, and Interactive teaching methods, ,communicative teaching method A. Use “Task-based” t

13、eaching method to design different kinds of tasks to increase their motivation. B. Use situational teaching method to create a real context to arouse their interests. I will use Competition,Role play to set particular situations for ss to make practices. C.Interactive teaching method is also used to

14、 achieve the goal of student-teacher interaction and student-student interaction. I will do it by doing Dialogue, Ask & AnswerD. Use communicative teaching method to cultivate students abilities of listening and speaking2. Learning StrategiesI will guide the students to master the following learning

15、 strategies gradually: prediction, cooperation and autonomous learning, Aural-oral practicePart four : Teaching ProceduresI divide it into seven steps. .They are: warm up & revision; lead in & presentation; pre-listening while-listening; post listening; consolidation & exercise and homework.Step 1 :

16、 Warm up & revisionFirst , Ill play a song called months of the year, By doing this, I can make the students Focus on the class, at the same time , we can review the names of the months. Second, Ill show some flash cards and ask the students to have a competition. Divide them into groups of four and

17、 ask them to write down the Ordinal Numbers and dates in the Flash cards as quickly as possible , then the group leader reads the words aloud. Third, Ill show some pictures to review the target language “When is sbs birthday? Its on “,the students can ask and answer in pairs . Fourth , Ill ask the s

18、tudents to Write the English expressions of the following dates By doing these activities, the students can review what they have learnt in Section A. Step 2: lead in & presentation After the revision, my students can master The expression of dates and when questions very well. But the topic is only

19、 birthday, they dont know the new words about events ,such as: party, test ,trip,I can say” My birthday is coming, I will have a birthday party this weekend ” so I will present a picture of a birthday party first, then I Continue to say “ next week, we will have some other events to do, do you want

20、to know what things they are ? Now lets learn the names of these events first. Then present the new words about events with the pictures one by one , students read and repeat, this step will lay a foundation for the later study. Step 3 Pre-listening First I will ask the students to do 1a. point out

21、the four new expressions in the box. Say each one and ask students to repeat. Then match the pictures with the events.In order to help my students get some information before listening. Ill ask them to predict the Content of the listening by Previewing the listening tasks. And teach them some Listen

22、ing strategies, such as Using the word abbreviations, and symbol to Write down the key words and get the primary information of the conversation Step 4 . While-listening Now, they are ready to listen. At the first time of listening, students do 1b, Listen and circle the events that they hear in 1a,

23、then check the answers. The second time, students do 1c, I will remind them to catch the key words before listening. After the third time of listening, they will check the answers in groups. The fourth time, students will listen and repeat to correct their pronunciation and intonation. After listeni

24、ng, I will present the important and difficult language points to help my students understand this conversation.Step 5. Post-listeningI designed 4 activities after listening. First, students read the tapescripts .Then Ill ask the students to act out the listening material in pairs in front of the wh

25、ole class. Second, let the Students finish 1d in pairs. Ask and answer questions about Johns calendar in pairs , Third , retell Johns calender. in groups. This activity can laya foundation for the reading of next periodFourth., Do a survey in group , then have a report. .I hope my students can use t

26、he target language in real situation, so I designed this activity to talk about Their recent activities. After that, the group leader will give a report. The whole class will evaluate which group performs the best. The winner will get a flagstep 6: consolidation & exerciseWrite the following Ordinal NumbersWrite the questions of each group of dialogueMacth the dates with the Chinese traditional festivals. In this way, Students can learn about Chinese t
