7、習慣熬夜了。be used to do sth.為use的被動結構,被用來做.”。e.g. Wood can be used to make paper.木頭可以(被)用來做紙張。ever since意為從.開始”,可以引導時間狀語從句,主句常用現在完成時,并且主句的謂語動詞要用延續性動詞,從句用一般過去時。e.g. Ever since my sister left for Canada last year, I havent seen her again.自從他去年去了加拿大以來,我沒再見到過他。ever since也可放在句末,此后(就一直.)”。e.g. The old man wen
8、t to Beijing and has lived there ever since.這位老人去了北京之后就一直住在那兒。consider sth.“考慮某事”。e.g. I will consider your plan carefully.我會仔細考慮你的計劃。consider doing sth.表示“考慮做某事”。e.g. Have you considered studying English?4你考慮學英語嗎?consider跟從句。e.g. The student considered how she should answer.這個學生考慮她要怎么回答。跟“疑問詞+動詞不定式
9、”結構。e.g. She hasnt considered what to do next.她還沒有考慮考慮接下來該做什么 。consider還有認為;把.看作”的意思。e.g. I considered the cat (to be/as) beautiful.我認為那張圖畫很美。pretty作副詞,“很,非常;相當,頗”,與very同義 。pretty作形容詞是,“漂亮的;可愛的”,多形容小孩子、女子等漂亮可愛。pretty還可意為“美觀的;賞心悅目的”,形容某地方或某事物美觀、漂亮。e.g. Im pretty sure that you will pass the exam.你會通過考
10、試,對此我很有把握。He is a pretty good teacher.他是個相當不錯的老師。What a pretty girl she is!她是一個多么漂亮的女孩啊!Whose are these pretty dresses?這些漂亮的裙子是誰的?leavealo ne讓單獨待著;不打擾,不干預”。e.g. Youd better leave me alone when I am study.我學習時,你最好別打擾我。cool down / off“(使)平靜下來;(使)冷卻”。5e.g. My teachers excitement has cooled down / off.她
11、激動的心情平靜下來了。Ice cream can cool us down / off.冰淇淋可以使我們感到涼爽些。if yes意思是“如果是(肯定前面的情況)”。e.g. If yes, please give the telephone numbers.如有意(就讀),請留下電話號。類似的結構還有if any (即便有),if not(要是不),if anything的話;甚至正相反;甚至還不如說),if so(要是這樣的話)等。e.g. There are very few people in the street, if any.即使街上有人,也是寥寥無幾。Be quick!
