1、M2 Unit3 The curse of the mummy(reading)教學設計孫蓮一、教材分析牛津高中英語模塊二包括三個單元,第三單元主要涉及神秘的古代文明。古代文明充滿許多未知的因素,是古代人類集體智慧的結晶。不僅是學生需要了解的歷史,也是許多考古學家在不斷研究的領域。對于此方面,學生也充滿了好奇。本課文是關于我們既熟知又陌生的埃及金字塔以及有關木乃伊的詛咒。學生學習本課文能對此話題有個科學的了解。 本設計以閱讀文章為信息載體,通過輸入、輸出手段,使得學生感知教學內容,理解教學內容,并以教學內容展開聽和說的訓練,培養學生的綜合語言能力。本設計將教材提供的各種活動并補充活動,以便更好
2、地達成本節課的教學目標。二、教學目標1. 知識和能力目標了解一些有用的關于金字塔,埃及,探險的單詞,詞組表達:curse, explorer, adventurous, curious, preserve, secretary, coincidence.訓練學生預測課文信息的能力,看到課文標題,the curse of mummy,猜測文章想要表達的內容,根據猜測內容帶著問題閱讀文章。2. 情感和價值觀使學生了解神秘的世界,激發他們對未知世界的好奇之心,以及學會用科學的方法來解釋現象。設計思想:即使在現在的先進的科技下,還是存在許多用科學無法解釋的現象,而這些現象不僅為科學家感興趣,就算學生也
3、同樣充滿好奇心。本節課通過一些有關金字塔的圖片,陵墓里珍貴的寶物來激發學生想要探險的興趣。帶著學生走入幾千年前傳說受著詛咒的法老陵墓,感受其神秘,危險之感。本篇文章其實是以探險家霍華德 卡特為主線講述了他探險最大的最有名的法老陵墓(圖坦卡門)整節課就是讓學生根據閱讀策略反復地閱讀,跳讀,細讀。從整體到部分,不時穿插聽的練習,口頭表達的練習,然后鞏固課文內容,結構回顧。最后讓學生進行一個訪問,采訪對有關木乃伊和卡特的事。三 教學的重點和難點教學重點Improve students ability of getting the information in the text.Learn the w

People there created the wonder of the world with their hands. Can you guess where it is? (if students still dont know, give them some
7、 hints) It is in Africa.S: Egypt. Pyramids.T: Yes. Pyramid is one of seven wonders in Egypt. This place was built for kings and queens. They expected to be buried there after death. I think everyone knows that there are many treasures in these tombs with bodies of kings and queens. Are you intereste
