InstallationThe diesel engine must be fixed on a fixture base with bolt, the feet size is the same as the “S” series diesel inland, details as installation drawing of diesel engine. Axial dimension of the matching machine must
2、 stay the same as the pulley, avoid the triangle belt distortions.2. selection of size of pulleysWhen the diesel engine is connected with working machines by pulleys, the selection of the size of pulleys should affect directly the operating conditons and the productivity of the driven machines. The
3、size of pulleys should be selected according to the following formula:D2=(D1×N1)/N2Where D1 is the diameter of the pulley on the engine shaft (adopting pitch diameter in case V-belt pulley is used)(mm);D2 is the diameter of the pulley on the driver shaft (adopting pitch diameter in case V-belt
4、pulley is used)(mm);N1 is the rotation speed of the diesel engine (r/min);N2 is the rotation speed of the driven shaft. (r/min);.The diesel engine is supplied with one pulley which has a pitch diameter of 135mm for user while its delivery from the factory. Special requirement mat be submitted on req
5、uest.The chapter 4 Operation and uses of diesel engineOne. Preparatory Works1. Lubricant oil1.1 Lubricant oil should conform to the right form(圖表看不清楚)1.2 Lubricant oil should be stored in a clean and closed container so as to prevent impurities entering. When filling, draw out the oil dipstick and f
6、ill clean lubricant oil into the crank chamber( Fig 1). The amount of filled oil should be about 3.5L, then check oil level with oil dipstick, keep the oil level between tow marking lines.Note: The oil level should not be over the upper line when filling or below the bottom line when running normall
7、y.2. Diesel oil2.1 0# light diesel oil is selected in summer and -10#(-5 up) or -20#(-14 up) light diesel oil should be used in winter.2.2 Open fuel tank cover,fill clean diesel oil which has been precipitated for a long time and filtrated with screen into it(fig.2). Refueling instruments also shoul
8、d be keep clean .2.3 Open the cock of the fuel tank, make sure the oil get into the injection pump though diesel filter.2.4 Loosen the connecting bolt on the injection pump or fuel pipe to remove air mixed in fuel pipe until diesel oil flows out without bubbles ,the tighten the bolt (fig.3)2.5 Set t
9、he speed-control lever knot at the “START” position on speed panel (fig.4)3. cooling waterclean soft water should be used as cooling water (rain、snow water、river water),fill water into the water box till the red mark rise to its highest position(fig. 5). If it has to use hard water in certain condit
10、ions it should be softened. The simplest way is to boil it and then precipitate and filtrate it before use, otherwise water channel may be blocked. Often replace cooling water in tank to remove impurities and dirt. Fig.4 Fig.5Second startingAfter preparatory works above mentioned being finished, che
11、ck the engine carefully and start it according the following procedures:1. Set the speed-control lever knot at the RUN position on speed panel.2. before starting, make sure the starter knob reversion device can rotation flexibly and in reverse rotation brake.3. insert the starter knob into the start
12、 shaft hole when start by hand, open the decompression lever with your left hand and crank up the rocker arm until normal injection sound is heard.(fig.6). crank the rocker arm at a high speed until the flywheel obtaining enough momentum, release the decompression lever and continue to crank the roc
13、ker arm with effort, the engine will start up running itself.4. Once the engine starts up running, the starting handle will disengage and slip out. The operator should keep it in hand firmly to prevent any possible accident.Third Running1. After starting, check to see if the oil indicator is rising
14、up, if it does not rise up or drops suddenly, stop the engine at once and fill lubricant oil fully or remove troubles.2. After starting, make the engine running for 3-5minutes at lower speed, then increase speed gradually, The engine runs with full load only when the temperature of the water tank is
15、 higher. Strictly prohibit increasing speed or loading as soon as starts the engine.3. It is normal that the cool water is boiling when the engine is necessary to fill water in time.4. Often view the colour of exhaust air when the engine is running. It is not allowed to run the engine when black smo
16、ke occurs. It is necessary to decrease load or remove troubles in time.5. It is not allowed to make the engine running with super load. Removing the fuel corrector to increase the power of the engine is strictly prohibited.6. Stop the engine immediately if abnormal sound is heard when the engine is
17、running, then check carefully.7. During the period of first 50 hours when a new diesel engine is used, operate it carefully and do not run the engine with the largest load. Check again and retighten all loosed bolts and nuts after that period.Fourth Stopping1. Unload the engine and run it at lower s
18、peed for a while, Set the throttle handle at the “STOP” position, the engine should go out itself.2. Loosen the connecting nuts on high-pressure fuel pipe, put clothes or towel into air inlet, open the decompress to stop the engine running at once if it needs emergency stop(fig.7).(fig.7) emergency
19、stop method: block air inletFifth Precautions after stopping the engine1. Close the cock of the fuel tank.2. Drain out all cooling water in winter or when stopping the engine for a long time. It is necessary to drain out water immediately in avoid to frost crack cylinder block or other parts.3. Remo
20、ve drain cock regularly to dredge water channel and remove dirt.4. Turn the flywheel until it can not be turned, open the decompression lever to continue turning the flywheel until its mark of T.D.C. is directly against the mark on the water tank. Make sure piston at “T.D.C.” in order to avoid dirt
21、get into cylinder.The chapter 5 Adjustment and Maintain of Diesel EngineFirst. Adjustment of Valve ClearanceIt is a necessary factor to adjust the valve clearance after running for 100 hours, in order to make sure engine working regular.1. Remove the cylinder head cover.2. Turn the flywheel until th
22、e mark T.D.C. directly against the mark on the water tank, in order to set the piston at its top dead center position in the compression stroke.3. Loosen the locking nut and turn the adjusting screw on the rocker arm with screw driver to set the valve clearance to the specified value by means of a f
23、eeler gauge inserted between the valve stem and the rocker arm.(Intake valve clearance is 0.25mm and exhaust valve clearance is 0.25mm) (fig.8)4. In the course of adjusting, the push rod is free to turn by hand, but not too loose. When this is done, tighten the locking nut in order to prevent any lo
24、osening afterwards.5. Remove the feeler gauge and check the clearance once again(Fig.8 adjusting of clearance of intake and exhaust valve ) 1. feeler 2.locking nut 3.adjusting screwSecond Adjustment of the Advance Angle of Fuel Delivery1. Disconnect the high pressure fuel bolt from the injector.2. L
25、oosen the nut which connects the high pressure fuel pipe to the injection pump, turn the pipe around so that the open end of the pope upwards, and re-tighten the nut as shown on (fig.9). Then fill up the high pressure fuel pipe with fuel by means of the fuel priming handle.3. Turn the flywheel slowl
26、y until the fuel just begins to flow out of the open end of the pipe. Stop turning and check whether the furl delivery mark-line on the periphery of the flywheel coincides with the red mark-line on the hopper. If they do not coincide with each other (record down whether the fuel delivery is too advanced or too lagging), adjustment is should to be done.Adjustment of the Advance Angle of full delivery should accord to the following procedure.1. Shut off the fuel cock.2. Remove the inspection hole cover on the gear casing, and set the speed-control lever knob at the middle position.3. Disconn
