11、eople want to travel in australia 一）教材分析：本單元的中心話題是“ 澳大利亞” ，主要內容涉及澳大利亞的地理、歷史、主要城市、自然風光、野生動植物、風俗習慣等內容。語言技能和語言知識都是圍繞這一中心設計的。熱身（ warming-up）部分用幾幅關于澳洲的大城市和著名的風景點的圖畫，過渡到這個單元的課題，并引出與下面閱讀課文相關的詞匯和背景知識。讀前部分旨在訓練學生的閱讀技巧，要求學生快速瀏覽五篇短文后，回答前面的這個部分設計的三個問題。閱讀部分包含五篇主題相同卻風格各異的短文，百科全書選段、新聞報道、廣告、明信片、旅游手冊文章，從多角度概敘了澳大利亞的國家

12、全貌。理解部分由三項練習組成，練習1 和“ 讀前 ” 部分相呼應，也是要求學會快速閱讀課文，旨在訓練略讀技巧。練習2 要求學生仔細回答仔細細讀課文，同時標出自己以前不了解的一些關于澳大利亞的信息，列出其中最有意思的五項，并與同伴交流討論。這個練習從形式上看比較簡單，但他能使學生對文中信息進行主動加工，從認知層面提升到思維層面，從而書本上的知識納入了自己的知識體系。練習3 是對課文內容的拓展，訓練學生的邏輯思維能力和表達能力。由于五篇短文大多是陳述性和描敘性的語言，而沒有表達個人的觀點的語句，因此，該練習借用文中提到的一些事實發問，以激發學生對文章內容的深沉思考。問題的答案不能從文中直接找到，要

13、求學生有理有據地說出自己的觀點。“ 語言學習” 部分由詞匯和語法兩部分組成。詞匯部分練習1 匙一個含11個空的語篇，要求學生用課文中出現的生詞填空。練習2 也是個語篇題，內容是關于澳大利亞早期移民的艱苦生活。這個練習要求學生首先閱讀短文，看看其中畫線單詞是否認識，不要著急查詞典，先試試猜一猜的它的意思，并寫在 “ 你的釋義”一欄中。最后，再查英英詞典，將你不認識的單詞的定義寫在“ 定義 ” 一欄中。這項練習包含了兩種重要的詞匯策略：1 ）根據上下文猜測生詞的意思；2 ） 。用英語給英語單詞下定義。練習3 也包含了兩種重要的詞匯學習策略。即“ 學一個記一串” ， 以一個單詞為中心，衍生出與之相關

14、的派生詞和合成詞。這個練習給予學生充分的聯想空間，既鞏固了課文生詞，又復習了舊詞，還通過同伴之間相互交流認識了更多的生詞，一舉多得。語法部分復習的重點是“ 表語 ” 。三個練習所用的語篇雖然不同，但任務是一樣的，都是要求學生辨認表語的各種形式。語言的運用分為“ 聽說 ” 和 “ 閱讀討論” 兩部分。聽力材料為魏平和他的好友之間的一段對話- 鮑勃勸說魏平去野營，但魏平有所顧忌。練習 1 介紹聽力內容發生的背景，并讓學生預測魏平為什么對露營敢到緊張，他有可能害怕什么。“ 閱讀討論” 部分的主要內容是關于澳大利亞的幾種危險動物展開。辯論部分提供的題目是：澳大利亞是一個危險的旅游地點。寫作是讀寫結合的
