1、1111Starter Unit 2 Whats this in English? Period1 (3a-4d)一、教學目標: 1. 語言知識目標:1) 能掌握以下單詞:orange, ruler, pen, key, jacket, map, cup, quilt , spell, please 2) 能掌握以下句型: Whats this in English? Its an orange. Whats that in English? Its a map? Spell it, please. M-A-P. 2. 情感態度價值觀目標:在認識事物的學習活動中培養學生的想象力和創造力;激發學

2、生學習英語的興趣,發揮學生學習英語的主動性;通過小組活動、組間競賽,培養學生的合作意識和團隊精神。二、教學重難點1. 教學重點:1) 運用 Whats this/that? Its 句型對周圍的事物進行問答練習。2) 運用Spell it, please句型,練習拼寫所學的有關事物的單詞,并強化記憶這些單詞。 3)總結歸納元音字母Aa、Ee、Ii與Oo在單詞中的常見發音規律,并能利用所學的規律來嘗試拼讀新的單詞。2. 教學難點:總結歸納元音字母Aa、Ee、Ii與Oo在單詞中的常見發音規律,并能利用所學的規律來嘗試拼讀新的單詞。三、教學過程. Warming- up and revision1.

3、 Greet the Ss. Check the homework.2. Review the letters Ii Rr. Let some Ss recite the letters. Then let some Ss come to the Bb and write them on the Bb. (注意和同學們一起糾正個別同學不正確的筆順。)3. Put some real objects on the teachers desk. (orange, ruler, pen, key, jacket, cup) Ask Ss to answer the questions: T: Wha

4、ts this in English? Ss: Its an orange. T: Whats this in English? Ss: Its a ruler. (Ask about more Ss about other things.) 4. Point to a map on the wall. Ask Ss: Whats that in English? Ss: Its a map. Point to a picture of quilt. Ask Ss: Whats that in English? Ss: Its a quilt. (Put the real objects on

5、 a desk which is a little far away.) Then ask questions about them. 5. Let Ss ask and answer about the objects in pairs. . Presentation1. Teach Ss how to spell the new words.T: (With a real object) Whats this in English?Ss: Its a ruler.T: Spell it, please. T: R-U-L-E-R. (Write Spell it, please. and

6、R-U-L-E-R. on the Bb.) Then ask some Ss the same questions:T: Whats this in English?S1: Its a ruler.T: Spell it, please.S1: R-U-L-E-R. Ask questions with pen, orange, cup2. Let Ss ask and answer about the real objects. S3: Whats this/that in English?S4: Its a quilt.S3: Spell it, please.S4: Q-U-I-L-T

7、. Listening1. 讓學生們看3a中的八幅圖畫,讀出每幅圖畫的英語名稱。2. 告訴學生們下面將聽到的錄音中是圖畫中的事物。聽錄音,按錄音中所讀的順序將這八幅圖畫排序。3. Listen to the recording and number the pictures. (For the first time, only listen. For the second time, listen and number the pictures. For the third time, lets check the answers.)4. Now lets listen to the reco

8、rding again. And complete the words under the pictures in 3a. (Play the tapes three times. For the first and the second time, Ss listen and write letters to complete the words. Tell Ss to look at the box in 3d. Then let some Ss read the words aloud. Make sure they know the meaning of every wo

11、rd.2. Tell Ss that they will hear four conversations. They are about different objects. Listen to the conversations and number the words you hear.3. Play the recording for the Ss listen and number. (Play the recording three times. For the first time, only listen. For the second time, listen and numb

12、er the words. For the third time, check the answers.) . Pair work 1. T: Look at the picture in 3e. This is Helens room. Eric and Helen are talking about the objects in her room. What can you see in the room? Ss: A map, a ruler, a pen, an orange, a quilt and a jacket.2. Who can act out the conversati

13、on in the picture? S1: Whats this in English? S2: Its an orange. S1: Spell it, please. S2: O-R-A-N-G-E. 3. Very good! Now work with your partner and ask and answer about the objects in Helens room. (Ss ask and answer about the objects in Helens room.). Writing 1. Now lets recite all the letters we l

14、earned from Aa to Rr. (Ss try to recite it by themselves first. Then let some Ss recite the words in front of the class.) 2. T: Now lets work on 4a. Look at the chart. Read the chart first then fill in the blanks. (提醒學生們這兩行字母分別是大寫形式和小寫形式)3. Ss write the missing letters. Then check the answers with h

15、is/her partner. 4. Lets work on 4b now. First lets read the words in the box. Then, let some Ss read the words in the box aloud.5. Now lets number all the words in alphabetical order.
