2、ivesCollege of EducationSouthwest UniversityWhat the Course is about?lQualitative research is one of the methodological approaches for educational research. lQR includes various means of obtaining in-depth understanding of educational phenomena in social settings. lThis course is not only an introdu
3、ction to the theoretical perspectives which underlie qualitative research methodology, but also methods and procedures in collecting, categorizing, analyzing qualitative data, writing-up, and application of qualitative research. lThe course is designed for the students who are beginning their gradua
4、tion thesis projects using qualitative research methods. lWe will focus on the issues, problems and strategies related to a qualitative research project in real educational settings. lStudents are required to read and discuss texts related to knowledge, conduct the field work including reviewing eth
5、ics, collecting and analyzing qualitative data, completing a proposal/paper/report/thesis.
