Eppleyexaminedmorethan150,000hoursofdataobservedon32monkeyspeciesand15lemur
speciesat68sites.Hefoundthattheyspentanaverageofonly2.5%oftheirtimeonthegroundeach
month.Butthefindingsshowedsomeinterestingdifferences.
“Ashabitatsarcdegradedandtheclimateworsens,primatesthatarcflexibleenoughtoadaptbecause
oftheirdiversedietsorliveinlargergroupsmaybemorelikelytoshifttolifeontheground,“Eppley
