Goodafternoon.ThismorningIwenttoBuckinghamPalaceandIamforminganewGovernmentandonMondayMPswillarriveatWestminstertoformanewParliament.

I'mproudtosaythatmembersofournewonenationGovernment,apeople'sgovernment,willsetoutfromconstituenciesthathaveneverreturnedaConservativeMPfor100years.

Andyes,theywillhaveanoverwhelmingmandatefromthiselectiontogetBrexitdoneandwewillhonourthatmandatebyJanuary31.

InthismomentofnationalresolutionIwanttospeakdirectlytothosewhomadeitpossible,andtothosewhovotedforusforthefirsttimeandthosewhosepencilsmayhavewaveredovertheballotandwhoheardthevoicesoftheirparentsandgrandparentswhisperinganxiouslyintheirears,Isaythankyouforthetrustyouhaveplacedinusandinme.

WewillworkaroundtheclocktorepayyourtrustandtodeliveronyourprioritieswithaParliamentthatworksforyouandthenIwanttospeakalsotothosewhodidnotvoteforusorformeandwhowantedandperhapsstillwanttoremainintheEU.

IwantyoutoknowthatweinthisonenationConservativegovernmentwillneverignoreyourgoodandpositivefeelingsofwarmthandsympathytowardstheothernationsofEurope.

Becausenowisthemoment,precisely,asweleavetheEU,toletthosenaturalfeelingsfindrenewedexpressioninbuildinganewpartnership,whichisoneofthegreatprojectsfornextyear.

AsweworktogetherwiththeEU,asfriendsandsovereignequals,tacklingclimatechangeandterrorism,inbuildingacademicandscientificco-operation,redoublingourtradingrelationship,Ifranklyurgeeveryone,oneithersideofwhatare,afterthreeandahalfyears,afterallanincreasinglyaridargument,Iurgeeveryonetofindclosureandletthehealingbegin.

BecauseIbelieve,infactIknowbecauseI'vehearditloudandclearfromeverycornerofthecountry,thattheoverwhelmingpriorityoftheBritishpeoplenowisthatweshouldfocusaboveallontheNHS.

Thatsimpleandbeautifulideathatrepresentsthebestofourcountrywiththebiggestevercashboost,50,000morenurses,40newhospitalsaswellasprovidingbetterschools,saferstreetsandinthenextfewweeksandmonthswewillbebringingforwardproposalstotransformthiscountrywithbetterinfrastructure,bettereducation,bettertechnology.
