Hello,everyone.I'mgladtopresentmylessonplanhere.TodayIwillpresentmylessonaccordingtothesethreeaspects.Attheverybeginning,I'dliketointroducetheteachingmaterialofthislessonandmystudents.

TheteachingmaterialisfromTopic1We’regoingonathreedayvisittoMountTaiofUnit6EnjoyingCycling,SectionCinProjectEnglishBook8B.Thislessonfocusesondiscussinghowtoraisemoneyfortourism.Andcontinuetolearntheuseoftheinfinitiveverb.Byunderstandinghowforeignstudentsraisetourismfunds,theylearnhowtoactivelycollaboratewithotherstopletetaskstogether.

Mystudentsarethecenteroftheclass.Theyhavebasicallygraspedtheuseoftheinfinitiveverb.Meanwhile,theyhavealreadyformedseveralgoodreadinghabits,suchastakingnotes,inferringbasedonthecontentandsoon.However,theiroralexpressionsstillneedpolishandcorrection.

Basedontheaboveanalysis,Isetthefollowinglearningobjectives.First,forlanguageskills,studentswillbeabletounderstandandobtaininformationfromshortpassagesordialoguesaboutwaystoraisemoney,useEnglishtointroducetheirownwaysofraisingmoney,andtheywillbeabletowriteshortessaysinEnglishaboutwaystoraisemoney.Second,forthelanguageknowledge,bytheendoftheclass,studentscanspellanduseboldfacewordsand.Also,Theycanfurthermastertheuseoftheinfinitiveverb.Third,forAffects,studentswillhaveaninterestinactivelyparticipatinginvariousEnglishpracticalactivitiesintheclassroom.Moreover,afterthislesson,theirindependentabilityandcooperativeawarenesswillbedeveloped.Then,forculturalawareness,studentswillknowsomewaysofraisingmoneyinwesterncountries.Forlearningstrategy,studentswilldeveloptheircooperativelearninginthislesson.Meanwhile,studentswilllearnhowtousethecontextasatooltogetthemeaningsofthenewwords.

Amongalltheselearningobjectives,Ithinkthekeypointsofthislessoniscorrectlymastertheusageoflookforwardtodoingsth.andmastertheusageoftheinfinitiveverb.However,thestudentsmayhavesomedifficultiesintheusageoftheinfinitivesandunderstandingthepassivevoice:aresold,isdrawn.

Toachievetheaboveobjectives,Iwilladoptthreestagemodel,soalltheteachingactivitieswillbearrangedrespectivelyinprereading,whilereadingandpostreadingstages.

Thenhereesmyteachingprocedures.Therearethreestagesinthislesson:prereading,whilereadingandpostreading.

Duringprereading,inActivity1,I’dliketoguidethestudentstoanswerthequestions:Didyouhaveafieldtripbefore?Whatwillyoudoifyouneedsomuchmoneyforyourtrip?ThenIwillletstudentshaveafreetalkonthistopic:Howtoraisemoney?Thestudentsareinterestedintalkingaboutit.ThenIwillaskthestudentstouse“Wecandosth.toraisemoney”toshowtheirideas.Thismayarousetheirinterestinthelesson.InActivity2,studentswillbeasktoreadthesentencesof3aandthenmatchthepictures.Afterthat,theyaregoingtodiscussthebestwaytoraisemoneyingroups.Iwillaskeachgrouptowritedownthekeywordsafterchoosingonecertainway.Thenwritedowntheirideaslikethis:Wethinkthebestwaytoraisemoneyistoselloldbooks.Becausemanystudentslikereading.Buttheydon’thavemuchmoneytobuynewbooksfromthebookstore.Wecanselltheoldbooksatlowprice.Thiswillhelpthemtopracticetheinfinitivesandtoexpressthemselvescorrectly.InActivity3,IamgoingtopresentsomespecialwaystoraisemoneyinCanadianandAmericanschools.Thenleadinthepassagein1a.Thisaimstohelpstudentstolearnandunderstandthenewwords“king,queen,Canadian,draw,dollar”better.Andthisactivityisdesignedtogetstudentspreparedforthenexttask.

Thenesthewhilereadingstage.Inthisstage,studentswilldoafastreadingandaclosereading.Forthefastreading,Iwillaskthestudentstoreadthepassageandthenfindoutthenewwordsinthepassage.Next,studentswillbeaskedtoguessthemeaningofthenewwordsin1b.Iwilltellthemtheycanguessthemeaningofanewwordbylookingatthewordsaroundit.Afterthat,studentswillbeasktoscanthepassageagaintofinishthetaskin1c:putthesentencesinthecorrectorder.Thesetaskswillhelpstudentsimprovetheirscanninganddeducingskills.Beforetheclosereadingpart,studentswillwatchthevideoof1atohaveoverallperceptionofthepassage.Thenstudentswillbeaskedtofillintheblanksabout“Whatis‘KingorQueenforaDay’?”fromthreeaspects:Where?Why?Who?Afterthat,Iwillguidethemtoread1aindetailstofindout“howtoplaythegame?”and“Whatarethespecialrightsforthe‘king’or‘queen’?”Theinformationstudentsneedtofindisthekeyinformationofthepassage.Thisaimstodevelopstudents’readingabilityandhelpthemunderstandthepassagebetter.Duringthewhilereadingstage,studentsaresupposedtounderlinetheinfinitivesanddealwiththedifficultpoints.
