本單元的教學重點是游戲，通過大家一起做動作來學習英語，也就是我們常說的，“玩中學，學中玩”。教師一到課堂里就可以邊做手勢邊說，Now,standup,sitdown,Standup!sitdown.說的時候可以先慢后快，也可以讓學生無法預料。大家基本上不出什么錯誤的時候，教師就可以跑到教室的后面叫一個同學說，Comehere!Comehere!等到學生來了之后，教師可以說Goback.Goback.Goback.然后再叫另外的同學，在這四個句子中來回變換花樣，最好是時常有所變化。等大家熟悉了以后，、讓大家一起來說順口溜，Up,Up,standup.Down,down,sitdown.Here,here,comehere.Back,back,goback.邊說邊做動作。然后教師開始用實物來做替換練習。如，Handsup!Handsdown.Handsup,handsdown.Booksup.Booksdown.等等。

當大家累了的。時候，就讓大家休息一下，來給圖畫著色。著色之后再讓大家相互觀看，看誰色彩上的好。接下來便是教字母的時間。教師首先讓學生們看兩個字母的卡片或形象的圖片（貓和蝸牛）。邊看大寫B的時候，邊說BigBisacat.然后拿小寫b說，Smallbisasnail.Thecatandthesnail.TheyaretheletterBb,等。讓大家反復說，反復練習，然后，讓小組的同學進行朗誦比賽，看看哪個組最好。在學字母的時候，注意把這幾個詞給學生，讓他們練習一下。其中還有：bee,ball,beet字母組合等。在適當的時候，讓學生放松一下，可以隨時讓他們做一些動作，即復習了所學內容，有有助于學生上課保持新鮮感，更有興趣參與到學習中來。

請一個學生到講臺上去做動作，其他同學在下面說他做的動作，看誰說得最快最準確，老師可適當給予獎勵。然后再換其他同學去，做到充分練習。
