23、 become 等代替動詞 be。如: He is used to looking after himself. 他已習慣于自己照顧自己。 Im sure Ill get used to the hard work. 我相信我會習慣這艱苦工作的。 【注】:be used to 有時可能是動詞 use 的被動語態結構 (此時意為“被用來”,其中的 to 為不定式符號,其后要接動詞原形)。如: A hammer is used to drive in nails. 錘子是用來釘釘子的。 【區別】used to 意為“過去經常”,其中的 to 是不定式符號,而不是介詞,所以其后只接動詞原形(不能接動

24、名詞)。 如: He used to live in Paris. 他過去一直住在巴黎。20、youre not supposed to eat anything with your hands except bread ?除了面包, 你不應該用雙手吃任何東西。except介詞,意為“ 除之外”;后接名詞、代詞、介詞短語或動詞不定式。They were all there except me. 除了我以外他們都在那里。We all went except him. 除他以外,我們都去了。They all howled with laughter except me. 除了我以外,他們全都哈哈大
