5、非限制性定語從句的出彩句子的出現,也為復習定語從句做好了準備。Step 2Revision1Revise the characteristics of nonrestrictive attributive clauses.(The students can say that in Chinese.)從形式上看,非限制性定語從句與先行詞(被定語從句修飾的名詞或代詞)之間有逗號。從功能上看,非限制性定語從句對先行詞起著補充說明的作用,如果去掉從句,不會影響到整個主句的意思。Revise the differences between restrictive and nonrestrictive a
6、ttributive clauses.從形式上看,限制性定語從句與先行詞(被定語從句修飾的名詞或代詞)之間沒有逗號。從功能上看,限制性定語從句對先行詞起著限制解釋的作用,如果去掉從句,會影響到整個主句的意思。2Revise the usage of nonrestrictive attributive clauses.引導非限制性定語從句的關系代詞有as,which,who, whom,whose等,作定語從句的主語、賓語、表語及定語。關系副詞有when,where等,作定語從句的狀語。關系代詞和關系副詞在定語從句中一般不能省略。(1)which引導的非限制性定語從句來說明前面整個句子的情況或
7、主句的某一部分,that不能用于引導非限制性定語從句。例如:Her house,which was built a hundred years ago,stood still in the earthquake.(2)當先行詞是專有名詞或被物主代詞和指示代詞所修飾時,其后的定語從句通常是非限制性的。例如:Charles Smith,who was my former teacher,retired last year.(3)as,which引導指代主句內容的非限制性定語從句時,表依據、評論與表事實、狀態等沒有多大差別,用在主句末時,有時可以通用。 He is quite pleased,as
