DigitalDesignandManufacturingTechnologyMajorTalentRequirementSurveyReportDigitalDesignandManufacturingTechnologyMajorTalentRequirementSurveyReportBackgroundSignificanceDigitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologyisabrand-newindustrialtechnologyandapplicationmodethatdeeplyintegratesmodernintelligentmanufacturingtechnologywithindustrialdigitization.Throughtheinterconnectionofdigitaldesignandintelligentmanufacturingtechnology,itpromotestheformationofamorecomprehensive,efficient,andintelligentindustrialproductionmanufacturingandservicesystem.In2023,theCentralCommitteeoftheCommunistPartyofChinaandtheStateCouncilissuedthe"DigitalChinaConstructionOverallLayoutPlanning"(hereinafterreferredtoasthe"Planning"),whichisanothernational-levelheavyweightpolicyinthefieldofdigitaleconomysincethereleaseofthe"'14thFive-YearPlan'DigitalEconomyDevelopmentPlanning",withanunprecedentedstrategicheight.Accordingtothe"Planning",buildingefficientandwell-connecteddigitalinfrastructure,improvingthescaleandqualityofdataresources,effectivelyreleasingthevalueofdataelements,promotingthedeepintegrationofdigitaltechnologyandtherealeconomy,andsupportingthedevelopmentandgrowthofdigitalenterprisesarethemaincontentandobjectivesofdigitaleconomyconstruction.Undertheframeworkofthedigitaleconomy,thecountrystronglysupportstheexploratorydevelopmentofdigitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnology;itisofgreatsignificanceforacceleratingthedigitaltransformationofChina'sindustryandseizingthecommandingheightsofinternationalcompetition.Theproposalofthedigitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologyplatformconcepthassetoffawaveofenthusiasmintheglobalmanufacturingindustry.Asacarriertopromotetheintegrationofanewgenerationofinformationtechnologyandthemanufacturingindustry,thedigitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologyplatformisincreasinglybecomingaglobalconsensustohelpthemanufacturingindustrytransformandupgrade.IndustrialdigitizationisapolicymeasurewithdigitizationasthecoreinChinain2024,aimingtopromoteindustrialmodernizationandeconomictransformation.UnderthebackgroundoftherapiddevelopmentofIndustry4.0andthedigitaleconomy,governmentsatalllevels,manufacturingenterprises,andautomationenterprisesinChinahaveactivelyrespondedandformedajointforcetopromotetheworkfocusingonpolicyguidance,platformconstruction,industrialAPPcultivation,enterprisecloudmigration,andecosystemconstruction.China'sdigitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologyplatformhasmovedfromconceptdiscussiontopracticalexplorationstage.Formallyelevatedtoanationalstrategy,lookingattherelevantpoliciesofdigitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologyreleasedbyChinainrecentyears,forthedevelopmentofdigitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnology,therearemainlyfourfocustopics:"digitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnology","thevalueandchallengesofdigitaltransformation","theopportunitiesofdigitaltransformationforsmallandmedium-sizedenterprises",and"thedigitaltransformationofintelligentmanufacturingandworkflowindustry".SurveyPurposeThescaleofChina'sdigitalindustryisgraduallyimproving,anddigitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologyisthemaindirectionofmanufacturingpowerconstruction,whichhasastrongsenseofthetimesandarelativelystrongsocialrequirement.Toensurethattheconstructionofthedigitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologyapplicationmajorcorrespondstotheemployer'spositionsettingandabilitystandards,andtocultivatehigh-qualitycompoundskilledtalentswithsoliddigitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologyapplicationpracticalbasics,goodprofessionalethics,andstrongsustainabledevelopmentcapabilities,thedigitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologyconstructionprojectteamconductedawiderangeofsocialsurveysaroundrelevantissuesintheformulationprocessoftheprofessionaltalentcultivationplan.Thissurveyiscarriedoutfortheformulationofthetalentcultivationplanforthedigitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologymajor.ItmainlyconductsonlinesurveysonBeijingSMDPTechnologyCo.,Ltd.,CAXAIntelligentManufacturing(Tianjin)TechnologyCo.,Ltd.,TianjinXishenglongPrecisionTechnologyCo.,Ltd.,Kento(Tianjin)IndustrialAutomationTechnologyCo.,Ltd.,ChangyuanTechnologyCo.,Ltd.,TianjinAutomobileMoldCo.,Ltd.,etc.,aswellason-sitevisitsandexchangeseminars.Throughthecollectionandsurveyofmaterialsinvariousaspectssuchasenterprises'employmentstandards,employmentlevels,recruitmentchannelsfortalents,internaltalentcultivationchannels,andcollaborativecultivationoftalentswithschoolsandenterprises,itconductsanin-depthanalysisofthedistributionofenterpriseworkpositions,thecurrentsituationofexistingpositionpractitioners,andtheirrequirementsforquality,knowledge,andability.Throughtheanalysisandsummaryofthesurveydata,thekeyissuesthatshouldbenotedintheconstructionofthetalentcultivationmodeforthedigitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologymajorareidentified,whichservesasthebasisforrevisingthetalentcultivationplanandreformingthecurriculumsystemofthismajor.SurveyObjectsDuringthesurveyprocess,on-sitevisitswereconductedtoenterpriseswithabackgroundindigitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologysuchasTianjinAutomobileMoldCo.,Ltd.,TianjinXishenglongPrecisionTechnologyCo.,Ltd.,Kento( ansforproductdesign,processoptimization,andmanufacturingprocesscontrol.Indigitaldesignandmanufacturing,theinnovationofdesignthinkingandtoolsiscrucial.Designersneedtopossessdigitalthinkingandbeabletoutilizeadvanceddesigntoolsandtechnologiestorealizerapidprototypingandvirtualdisplayofproducts.Theapplicationoftechnologiessuchascomputer-aideddesign(CAD),three-dimensionalmodelingsoftware,virtualreality(VR),andaugmentedreality(AR)makesproductdesignmoreintuitive,accurate,andefficient.Atthesametime,thedesignprocessalsoneedstofocusontheintegrationofinterdisciplinaryknowledge,suchasmechanicalengineering,electronicinformation,computerscience,etc.,tomeettherequirementsofproductcomplexityandmulti-functionality.Manufacturingintelligenceisoneofthecoreobjectivesofdigitaltransformation.Throughtheintroductionofintelligentequipmentandsystems,theautomation,intelligence,andflexibilityoftheproductionprocesscanberealized.Intelligentmanufacturingsystemscanquicklyadjustproductionplansaccordingtochangesinmarketrequirements,optimizeresourceallocation,andimproveproductionefficiencyandproductquality.Atthesametime,intelligentmanufacturingalsofocusesonthefulllifecyclemanagementofproducts,realizingdigital,networked,andintelligentmanagementinallsegmentsfromdesign,manufacturingtouse,maintenance,etc.China'sDigitalIndustryTalentRequirementsDigitaltransformationhashadaprofoundimpactonthetalentrequirementsofthemanufacturingindustry.Theworkinthetraditionalmanufacturingindustryoftenfocusesonphysicallaborandsimpleoperationskills,whileindigitaltransformation,theskillrequirementsfortalentsaremorediversifiedandhigh-end.Talentswhopossesstheabilitytomasterfrontiertechnologiessuchasbigdataanalysis,cloudcomputing,artificialintelligence,andtheInternetofThingshavebecomescarceresourcesinthemarket.Atthesametime,interdisciplinaryknowledgeandskills,goodcommunicationskills,andteamcollaborationcapabilitieshavealsobecomeimportantqualitiesofmanufacturingindustrytalents.Facingtherequirementsofdigitaltransformation,theeducationsystemneedstomakecorrespondingadjustmentsandoptimizations.Futureskillcultivationshouldfocusonstrengtheningthefollowingaspects:first,strengthenthecultivationofdigitalskills,includingthelearningoftechnologiessuchasbigdataanalysis,cloudcomputing,artificialintelligence,andtheInternetofThings;second,payattentiontotheintegrationofinterdisciplinaryknowledgeandcultivatestudents'comprehensivequalityandinnovationability;third,strengthenpracticalteachingandschool-enterprisecollaboration,andimprovestudents'practicalabilityandproblem-solvingabilitythroughmethodssuchasinternships,practicaltraining,andprojectcollaboration;fourth,focusoncultivatingstudents'innovativethinkingandentrepreneurialspirit,andencouragethemtoexploreandinnovateinthefieldofdigitaldesignandmanufacturing.Toachievethecloseconnectionbetweeneducationandindustry,thefollowingstrategiesneedtobeadopted:first,strengthenthecollaborationbetweenuniversitiesandenterprises,jointlyformulatetalentcultivationplansandteachingplans,andensurethattheteachingcontentmatchestheactualrequirementsofenterprises;second,establishaproduction-study-research-applicationcollaborationmechanismtopromotethetransformationandapplicationofscientificandtechnologicalachievements;third,strengthentheconstructionofpracticaltrainingbasesandprovidestudentswithmorepracticalopportunitiesandplatforms;fourth,promotethesharingandoptimalallocationofeducationalresourcesandimprovetheutilizationefficiencyofeducationalresources;fifth,strengthenthetrainingandexchangeofteachersandenhanceteachers'professionalqualityandteachingability.DigitalDesignandManufacturingTalentPositionSkillAnalysisDigitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologytalentsrefertopeoplewhopossessnew-generationinformationcommunicationtechnologyandindustrialfieldprofessionalknowledgeorspecializedskills,engageindigitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnology-relatedwork,andmakecontributions.DigitaldesignandmanufacturingtalentsareanimportantresourceforChinatodevelopdigitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologyandrealizethedigital,networked,andintelligenttransformationoftherealeconomy.Figure6-3DigitalDesignandManufacturingTechnologyTalentAnalysisViewDigitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologytalentsaremainlydrivenbybusinessdevelopment.Correspondingtothebusinessviewofthedigitaldesignandmanufacturingsystemarchitecture,itincludesoccupationssuchasmechanicalengineeringtechnologypersonnel,mechanicalcoldprocessingpersonnel,etc.,andpositions(groups)suchasdigitaldesignofmechanicalproducts,digitalmanufacturingprocessdesignandverification,digitalequipmentoperation,on-sitecontrolofintelligentproductionlines,productqualitytestingandcontrol,etc.Digitaldesignandmanufacturingskilledtalentsmainlycorrespondtoengineersatalllevelsinthetechnologyfield.Theyshouldpossesscertainmechanicaldesignandmanufacturinganddigitalapplication-relatedfieldtechnologiesandskills,mainlyfocusingonhigh-qualityskilledtalentswhoengageinworksuchasdigitaldesignofmechanicalproducts,digitalprogrammingandmanufacturingofproducts,productionlineoperationandproductqualitycontrol,anddigitalmachinetoolmaintenance,andundertakeworksuchastechnologyR&D,standardresearch,application,practice,systemintegration,industrypractice,etc.Amongthem,digitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologytalentsshouldalsopossesscertaininnovationcapabilitiestocarryoutintegrationinnovationworkinrelevanttechnologies,applications,andindustries.Digitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologyskilledtalentsgenerallyworkonthefrontlineofproductionandservicefields,andshouldpossesscertainoperationskills.Theyarepersonnelresponsibleforactualoperations.DomesticHigherVocationalColleges'SituationofOfferingDigitalDesignandManufacturingTechnologyMajors1.CurrentSituationofHigherVocationalCollegesOfferingDigitalDesignandManufacturingTechnologyMajorsAsofSeptember2024,atotalof141universitiesacrossthecountryhaveoffereddigitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologymajors,including7undergraduateuniversitiesand134specializedcolleges.Amongthem,GuangxiIntelligentManufacturingVocationalTechnologyCollege,JiangxiFenglinInternationalBusinessandTradeCollege,andJiangxiEngineeringVocationalCollegerankinthetopthree.Thefilingcollegesareevenlydistributedgeographically,covering13provinces(autonomousregionsandmunicipalities);Jiangsuhasthelargestnumberofcolleges(4),followedbyHenan(3),Shandong(3),Zhejiang(3),Guangdong(3),etc.Atpresent,thedigitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologymajorisstillintheinitialstageindomestichighereducation,andhighervocationalcollegesinvariousregionshavesuccessivelybeguntoattempttoestablishthismajor.However,duetothecomplexknowledgesystemandrapidtechnologyupdatesinthisfield,therearestillissuessuchasinsufficientfacultyresourcesandalackofpracticalteachingresources.2.CurrentSituationofTalentCultivationinHigherVocationalColleges'DigitalDesignandManufacturingTechnologyMajorAlthoughmanyhighervocationalcollegeshavealreadyoffereddigitaldesignandmanufacturingmajors,theexistingtalentcultivationworkstillhasaseriesofissuesthatneedimprovement.First,thelimitationofcoursesettings.Thedevelopmentandapplicationofdigitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologyrequirestudentstopossessskillsindigitalsoftwareapplication,soteachingneedstocomprehensivelypermeateotherprofessionalcoursesrelatedtoit.Whiletheexistingteachingsegmentsfocusmoreoncultivatingstudents'operationskills,suchaswritingprogramcode,mathematicalcalculations,etc.Theapplicationofdigitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologyoriginatesfromtheprogressrequirementsofsocietyandtheactualrequirementsofproduction.Limitedcoursesettingsandalackofnecessarycoursesupportwillaffecttheexpansionofstudents'thinking,andtheywillnotbeabletocomprehensivelyandprofoundlyunderstandtheprofessionalconnotationandapplicationprospects.Second,thetextbooksystemisnotperfect.Intheinformationage,scienceandtechnologyarechangingwitheachpassingday,andthespeedofnewtechnologygenerationanddevelopmentisevenfaster.Facedwiththeissueofthetalentgapindigitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnology,theconnectionbetweenhighereducationanddigitaldesignandmanufacturingmajorsisparticularlyurgent.Manyhighervocationalcolleges'digitaldesignandmanufacturingmajorshavebeenestablishedlikebambooshootsafteraspringrain,buttheconstructionofcorrespondingteachingresourceslagsbehind,especiallytheplanningofthetextbooksystemisnotyetperfect.Forexample,somecollegesonlyincludebasictheorytextbooksofrelevantdisciplines,butactuallylacktheconnectioncontextbetweenrelevantmajors,andthetextbookshavelessembodimentofthecombinationcharacteristicsofartificialintelligenceapplicationanddigitalsoftwareapplication.Third,teacherslackpracticalexperience.Digitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologyiscloselyrelatedtoapplicationsandpracticesinmanyfields.Afterhighervocationalcollegesestablishdigitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologyandapplicationmajors,theteacherteambasicallyremainsinitsoriginalstatus.Althoughteacherspossesssolidtheoreticalbasicsindevelopmentlanguages,automationtechnology,etc.,theenlightenmentofpracticetostudentsisindispensable.Theteachingprocessshouldespeciallyanalyzetypicalcasesofdigitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologyapplicationinvariousindustries,sothatstudentscangraspthesignificanceanddirectionofdigitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologyapplication.Fourth,practicaltrainingactivitiesareinsufficientlydeveloped.Comparedwithpreviouspracticaltrainingexercises,thedigitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologyapplicationmajorputsforwardhigherrequirementsforthecomprehensivequalityoftalents,closelyfocusingontheactualjobposition.However,atpresent,thecollaborationbetweenhighervocationalcollegesanddigitaldesignandmanufacturingfieldenterprisesisstillinexploration,andthereisagapbetweentheworkstudentsengageinatpracticaltrainingbasesandtherequirementsoffutureemploymentpositions.Infuturepracticaltrainingactivities,itisnecessarytogodeepintoenterprises,accumulatepracticalexperience,andbuildprofessionalcompetence.3.EmploymentofHigherVocationalColleges'DigitalDesignandManufacturingTechnologyMajor3.1InitialEmploymentSalarySituationofDigitalDesignandManufacturingTechnologyMajorAccordingtotheinvestigationdataofMyCOSonthe"2024ChinaCollegeStudentEmploymentReport",thenationalsampleofhighervocationalcollegegraduatesis144,000,covering587highervocationalcollegemajors,531occupationsengagedbyhighervocationalcollegegraduates,and322industries.Fromthedistributionofstartingsalariesforfreshgraduates,theproportionsof2023undergraduateandhighervocationalcollegegraduateswithanaveragemonthlysalarybelowRMB6,000halfayearaftergraduationare57.8%and81.7%respectively,thosebetweenRMB6,000-8,000are23.9%and12.1%respectively,andthoseaboveRMB8,000are18.3%and6.2%respectively.Highervocationalcollegegraduatesengagedinrailwaytransportation,digitaltechnology,intelligentmanufacturing,andotherrelatedpositionshavehighermonthlyincomes.Theindustrydevelopmentprospectshaveagreaterimpactoncollegestudentemployment.Thissalarylevelisatamediumtohighlevelamongsimilarmajors,showingthegoodemploymentprospectsofthismajor.3.2EmploymentEnterprisesofHigherVocationalColleges'DigitalDesignandManufacturingTechnologyMajorDigitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologyistheproductofthedeepintegrationofanewgenerationofdigitaltechnologiesandindustry,sodigitaldesignandmanufacturingenterprisesmainlycomefromtraditionalenterprisesanddigitaltransformationenterprises.(1)TraditionalEnterprisesWiththerapidintegrationofdigitizationandvariousindustries,digitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologywillbewidelyappliedtoindustrialmanufacturingindustryenterprisesandtheirproductionmanufacturingsegments.However,asthemainbodyofChina'srealeconomy,mostindustrialenterprisesinthefuturewillstillfocusonproductionmanufacturing,butwillevolvetraditionalmanufacturingindustriestowardsdigitization,networking,andintelligence.Insuchindustrialenterprises,digitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologypractitionersstillfocusonmechanicaldesignandmanufacturing,andtheproportionoftheirpractitionersinthetotalnumberofentitypersonnelwillincreaseslightlyto10%.Typicalindustrialenterprisesthatexploredigitaldesignandmanufacturingintheearlystage,inordertomaintaintheirleadingpositionindigitaldesignandmanufacturing,continuouslyimprovetheirdigitaldesignandmanufacturingcapabilitiesandexpandtheirdesignandmanufacturingdataecosystemthroughmethodssuchasestablishingdigitaldesignandmanufacturingplatforms.Whentheirecosystemdevelopstothepointwhereitcanoperateindependently,industrialenterpriseswillupgradeandtransformthisbusinessintoanintelligent,digitaldesignandmanufacturingenterprise.Thistypeofenterprisewilltakethedevelopmentofdigitaldesignandmanufacturingasthedirectionofenterpriseoperation,somostofitspractitionerswillbedigitaldesignandmanufacturingtalents,whichisexpectedtoaccountfor80%ofthetotalnumberofenterprisepersonnel.(2)DigitalTransformationEnterprisesSomeenterprisesthatexploredigitaldesignandmanufacturingintheearlystagecontinuouslytransformonthebasisoftheoriginalproductionmanufacturing-typeenterprises,becomingdigitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologysolutionproviders,systemintegrators,andotherservice-typemanufacturingenterprisesinacertainindustry.Althoughthistypeofenterpriseretainsthecapabilityofproductionmanufacturing,theywillcloselyfocusonthedevelopmentofdigitaldesignandmanufacturingtocarryoutrelevantwork,whetherinproductionmanufacturingorinservicessuchassolutionsandsystemintegration.Therefore,insuchenterprises,mostofthepractitionerswillalsobedigitaldesignandmanufacturingtechnologytalents,anditisexpectedthattheirnumberwillalsoaccountfor80%ofthetotalnumberofenterprisepersonnel.3.3EmploymentDirectionsofHigherVocationalColleges'DigitalDesignandManufacturingTechnologyMajorTheem
