1、蘇州科技學院外國語學院美國文學史課程名稱課程考試大綱一、課程性質與特點美國文學史為“英語”和“英語（師范）”專業任意選修課，屬于考查課，共學時，學分。本課程涵蓋美國文學史上從殖民地時期、浪漫主義、現實主義、現代主義、后現代主義至當代各個時期重要的文學思潮、流派及其發生的社會、文化、哲學背景以及各個時期重要作家的代表性作品。本課程所講授的知識是英語專業本科生知識結構不可或缺的一部分，是英語專業學生人文素養必要的組成成分，也是英語專業八級考試“人文知識”部分考核的內容之一。鑒于本課程學時短，內容多，本課程的特點是以史為經，以作家作品為緯，詳講浪漫主義、現實主義和現代主義部分，略講其它部分。二、課程
