3、f-improvement , The Old Man and the Sea Teaching and learning steps Step 1:Learn to read the words on P126-127.First students try to read the words using the phonetics by themselves and mark the difficult words.Then read the difficult words with their partners in groups.Next get some middle-level st
4、udents to read all the words and ask the good students to correct the wrong pronunciations. If necessary, the teacher corrects them.Read after the tape.At last students read aloud and the teacher walks around to offer pronunciation support as needed. Get some students to read again to see if everyon
5、e can read correctly. (設計意圖:通過學生自讀;組內互讀互查;中等生讀;跟磁帶讀,達到正確熟練朗讀本單元生詞。在今后的教學中要繼續讓學生試讀單詞,鞏固和提高學生自學單詞的能力,培養學生個人識讀單詞的良好學習習慣,同時也能培養學生自主、探究和合作學習的能力。首先學生自己根據音標識讀單詞,并標出識讀時有困難的單詞。接著兩人一組或以小組為單位解決遇到的困難。然后找兩三位同學讀單詞,讓好學生先糾正,還有問題,教師再更正。最后讓學生跟錄音讀。這樣能培養學生自主學習和小組互助學習的能力,也能鼓勵沒過關的學生課前課后努力趕上。)Step 2 : Learn to remember wo

For example, I question students honesty.2合成詞 :將兩個或兩個以上的單詞合成在一起而構成的新詞.self-improvement(自我提高): self(自我) + improvement(提高)schoolwork(學校作業) school(學校) + work(工作)3.派生即在詞根上加前綴或后綴構成另一個與原意略有變化或截然相反的詞。分為兩類即后綴和前綴。education(教育): educate(教育)+ ionthemselves
11、(他們自己): them(他們) + selvesmeaning(意思): mean(意思是)+ingbeginning(開始): begin(開始)+ ningweekly(每周的):week(每周) +lypersonal(個人的):person(個人)+ alrelationship(不喜愛):relation(關系) + shipimprovement(提高):improve(提高) + mentengineer(工程師):engine(機械,機車)+er4.對比反義詞 disagree-agree (設計意圖:運用轉換、合成、派生、對比等方法學習單詞,能降低學生記單詞的難度,也能使學
12、生舉一反三,極大的擴充詞匯量。)四、Guess the underlined words according to the context.1. When we make resolutions at the beginning of the year ,we hope that we are going to improve our lives. Some people write down their resolution and plans. 2There are different kinds of resolutions. Some are about physical health
13、. For example,some people promise themselves they are going to start an exercise program or eat less fast food. Many resolutions have to with self-improvement.3. Some people might say they are going to take up a hobby like painting or taking photos, or learn to play the guitar. (設計意圖:我摘抄了Unit 6 三段重要

First give the students several minutes to try to memorize the words . 2. Then get the students to read the words by looking at the Chinese, t
16、hen look at the Chinese and say English.3. Next get students to work in pairs to spell the words or write down the words with the Chinese given in guide books. Underline the words they havent grasped.4. At last get the students to have a short dictation about the important words and phrases. If they
17、 cant, dictate after class in groups. (設計意圖:此環節為鞏固單詞。通過朗讀和使用助學默寫來對單詞加以鞏固。這一環節有少部分的學生不能當堂達標,需要利用自習課或課余的時間讓小組長跟蹤檢查,老師督促,達到人人過關。)Step 4 :Read the story and translate into Chinese。1. Ask the students to read the story, and underline the new words.2. Translate the story into Chinese in groups of threes.3

I have a good friend named Mary .Mary wants to be an engineer when she grows up.She always tries her best to learn schoolwork.She is going to Beijing University.She wrote down her resolution on the wall of her bedroom.
