孩子的一百種語言孩子是由一百種構成的The child has a hundred languages孩子有一百種語言a hundred hands一百雙巧手a hundred thoughts一百個想法a hundred ways of thinking一百種思考方式of playing一百種游戲方式of speaking一百種說話方式always a hundred ways of listening總有一百種傾聽方式of marveling一百種驚奇of loving一百種熱愛a hundred joys for singing and understanding一百種歌唱與領悟的喜悅a hundred worlds to discover有一百種世界要去發現a hundred worlds to invent有一百種世界要去創造a hundred worlds to dream.有一百種世界要去夢想The child has a hundred languages(and a hundred hundred hundred more)孩子有一百種語言（一百一百再一百）but they steal ninety-nine但他們偷走九十九種the school and the culture separate the head from the body.學校與文化，將孩子身心分離They tell the child to think他們告訴孩子without hands不用雙手去思考to do without head不動腦筋去做事to listen and not speak只傾聽不說話to understand without joy不必帶著喜悅去領悟to love and marvel愛與驚奇only at Easter and Christmas.只屬于復活節與圣誕節They tell the child他們告訴孩子to discover the world already there去發現已知的世界and of the hundred在一百種當中they steal ninety-nine.他們偷走九十九種They tell the child that他們告訴孩子work and play工作與游戲reality and fantasy真實與幻想science and imagination理性與想象sky and earth天空與大地reason and dream理智與夢想are things that do not belong together.全都水火不容And thus they tell the child因此他們告訴孩子that the hundred is not there.
