(一)The analysisof teachingmaterial andstudents.1.The typeof thislesson islistening andspeaking.This lessonis thefirst periodof thisunit.It isvery basicand important.It talksabout futureplans,which isclosely relatedto the studentslife andeasy toattract theirattention.2.The analysisof studentsThe middleschool studentshave beeinterested inEnglish learningand alsolearned somebasic abilities,but itis noteasy forthem to use Englishproperly andcorrectly.3.Teaching aimsThe knowledgeaim:to enablethe students grasp the new words:babysit,camp,and plan;and the sentence patterns:What areyou doingfor vacation?-I am spending time with my friends.The abilityaim:to cultivatethe studentsabilities of listening,speaking,reading,and writing,and totrain the students tomunicate naturally in real situations.The emotionaim:to fosterthe studentsconsciousness ofgood cooperationand properpetition.4.The keypoint anddifficult point.The keypoint isto makethe the studentsgraspthenewwords andsentences patterns.The difficultpoint isto makethem municateusing the sentence patternsfreely andnaturallyinrealsituations. (二)The analysisof teachingmethods. (1)Task-based teachingmethod (2)Communicative teachingmethod (3)Audio-visual teachingmethod Aswe allknow,the mainaim of English learningin middleschool isto cultivatethe studentsbacic abilitiesoflistening,speaking,reading,and writingand thegood senseofEnglishlanguage.In orderto pletethe activities,the multimedia and atape-recorder will be used. (三)The analysisof learning methods.Aording to the NewCourse Standardand theconcept of“learning bydoing”,I mainlylead the students tolearn Englishby activity-based learningmethod includingindividual work,pair workand groupwork.I alsolead thetouse“students-centered andteacher-guided”learningmethod. (四)The analysisof teachingprocedures.It isthe mostimportant part,I mainlytalk aboutthe teachingproceduresandthe purposesof mydesign.Step1.warm up.I showthe studentsa flashabout summervacation to offer thema relaxingatmosphere and to arousetheir interst.Step2.Lead in.The summervacation ining.I askthem somequestions aboutthe ingvacation.“What doyou wantto dofor vacation?”After the studentsbrainstorming,I tellthem myplan:“I wantto visitBeijing.That meansI amvisiting Beijing.What aboutyou?What areyou doingfor vacation?Let themtry to answer myquestion.If necessary,I willhelp themtoanswer.To makesure the students canread andunderstand themeaning of thesentencestructures,I asksome morestudents.Step3.Presentation.I leadthe studentsto getinformation bypleting severaltasks:listening,pair work,and groupwork.1.First listentothe tape anddo exerciseof1b,2aand2c.Before listening,I helpthestudentsto makeclear theinstruction andread thematerial,So thatthe taskwillbeeasy andclear.Through listening,thestudentscan understandthesentencepatterns deeply.Then let thestudentsread followingthetapeto paymore attentionto theirpronunciation andintonation.After thatI letthestudents talkaboutthe listeningmaterial.If they have somequestions I will give them answer.2.Pair work.I showthe pictureon the screen andletthestudentstalkabout whatare thepeople doingfor vacation in pairsusing thesentences:What ishe doingfor vacation?Then Iask severalpairs toshow theirdialogues.3.Group work.To consolidatethe knowledgetheyhavelearned,I letthestudentsask eachotherplan for vacationingroups offour.Then I will askthe reportersof eachgroups togive usa report.At last,Iwillchoose thebest oneand givethem prizes.The aimsofthepetition aretoofferthem anopportunity topractice theirspoken Englishandtoencourage themto trytheir bestand cooperatewith theirgroup memberswell.Step4To checkthat ifthestudentshave graspedthe knowledge,I show them severalexercises onthescreen.Do andcheck theanswers byasking andanswering.Step5Summary.After learning,I letseveral studentsmake asummary,and thenwe getthe summarytogether.If theyhave anyproblems,Iwillgivethemanswer. (5)The blackboarddesign.
