河北教育出版社 七年級(下冊) 暢言教育Unit 3 School lifeLesson 15 Making a difference 教材分析本單元的中心話題是學校生活。通過學習本單元,要求學生能夠牢靠掌握一些學校生活的表達形式,能用英語熟練表達有關校內(nèi)生活的對話。培養(yǎng)學生健康意識和關愛他人的良好品質(zhì)。本課是學習這一單元的基礎。 教學目標【知識與能力目標】l Knowledge Object:(1) Master the following words:difference, village, yourself, drop, possible, never, future(2) Common phrases:make a difference, give up, drop out of school, in the future【過程與方法目標】Continue to build up the ability in listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating, especially enable the students to make sentences in English .【情感態(tài)度價值觀目標】Get the students to describe the importance of making a difference. 教學重難點【教學重點】Vocabulary and patterns in this lesson【教學難點】The usage of difference and give up 課前準備 Multimedia, PPT 教學過程Step I Class Opening (1 minutes)1. GreetingT: Good morning, class! How are you today?Ss: Good morning, Miss Dai ! Fine, thank you. And you?T: Im fine, too.2. Free TalkT: Whats the date today?S1:Its Match 13th.T: What day is it today?S2: Its Thursday.T: Look out of the window. Whats the weather like today?S3: Its sunny.設計思路:使用親切、貼近生活的問候語言拉近師生關系,帶學生自然進入英語氛圍。Step II Review (2 minutes)The teacher shows some exercises on the PPT.Students do the exercises and check the answers together.Step III New Concepts (28 minutes)1. Lead-inAsk the students two questions, and let them think them over, then try to answer them.2. New wordsRead and recite.3. ListeningT: Play the audiotape. Let the students listen to the tape and write true or false.S1: Tell her answers to the whole class.T: Check the answers as a class.4. Read and fill in the blanks.T: Let the students read the text twice, and then fill in the blanks.S1: Tell the other students his answers.T: Check the answers.5. Pair WorkT: Show the students a group of pictures. They all make a difference in their own life. Ask the students to make a dialogue with their partners.Ss: Act out their dialogues in class.6. Language pointsT: Show them the meaning of “difference”. Then ask them to do some exercises to practice this word.S1: I want to make a difference in the future. S2: Can you tell the differences between the twins? S3: English names are different from Chinese names. T: Check the answers.T: Tell them how to use “give up”. Let them write down. Then ask them to do some exercises. S1: You shouldnt give up studying English.S2: Never give it up. S3: Give up smoking. Its bad for your health. T: Check the answers.T: Show them the meaning of “drop”.
