sold意為賣出多少,賣的怎樣時,用主動形式表達被動含義。例如:這本書賣的很好。能夠用主動形式表達被動含義的動詞歸納如下:鎖開洗賣 (lock/shut open wash sell)讀寫撕切(read write tear cut)燒煮穿耐久(burn cook wear last)使用特點(1 )主語為物 ( 2) 多用于否定句(3) 一般和well, badly, smoothly, easily等副詞連用比如:(1) the door wont open.(2) the play reads better than it acts.(3) this kind of cloth washes well.(4 )your pen writes quite smoothly.3. although it was an extremely cold night.句式分析: although意為雖然,盡管,在句中引導讓步狀語從句,可以同though互換。although和though相同點:(1)不與but, however連用,但可以與yet, still連用(2)although, though引導的讓步狀語從句主語和主句主語一致且從句謂語含有be動詞時,可以省略主語和be動詞 although和though不同點:although多用于句首,從句不可以倒裝though位置隨意,可以倒裝e.g. young as/though he is, he is clever.4.at the end of the three hours,morissette showed that she was a true performer, singing a well-known song heartache.句式分析: (1)at the end of 既可指時間(在.底/末)也可指空間(在.盡頭),表示時間時,通常與一般過去時或將來時連用 by the end of 意為到.末為止,多于完成時連用 in the (2)句中singing a well-known song heartache是現在分詞短語作方式狀語。 sing和主語morissette是主動關系,所以使用現在分詞。period 3 語法精講目標:to practise using time clauses with as soon as, when, before. and clauses of concession with although/though. 課堂 互動探究一. 時間狀語從句1. when引導的時間狀語從句,常譯為“當的時候”,when的從句可以用延續性動詞,也可以用點動詞。eg. he was working at the table when i went in. 當我進去的時候,他正在桌旁工作。someone knocked at the door when i was sleeping. 當我正在睡覺時,有人敲門。i will visit my good friend when i have time. 當我有空兒時,我將去看望我的好友。i worked for a foreign company when i was in shanghai. 當我在上海時,我為一家外國企業工作。注:when也可以作并列連詞,表示一個動詞正在進行的時候,突然間發生了另外一件事。eg.i was fishing by the river, when someone called for help. 我正在河邊釣魚,就在那時有人求救。we were working in the chemistry lab, when the lights went out. 我們正在化學實驗室工作,突然燈都熄滅了。2. while引導的時間狀語從句,常譯為“與同時,在期間”,while的從句中常用延續性動詞或表示狀態的詞。eg. they rushed in while we were discussing problems. 當我們正在討論問題時,他們沖了進來。father was cleaning the car while i was playing computer games. 當我正在打電子游戲時,爸爸正在清洗汽車。注:while也可以作并列連詞,表轉折的關系,相當于but,譯為“然而”。eg.i like listening to music, while my brother likes doing sports. 我喜歡聽音樂,而我的兄弟愛好運動。3. as引導的時間狀語從句,常譯為“當的時候,一邊一邊”as的從句中可使用延續性動詞,也可使用點動詞。eg.he sang as he was working. 他一邊工作一邊唱歌。as time goes by, we have a better understanding of things around us . 隨著時間的推移,我們對自己周圍的事物有了更好的理解。4. before和after引導的時間狀語從句,before強調主句的動作發生在從句的動作之前,而after強調主句的動作發生在從句的動作之后。eg.he had been a cook before he went to college. 他上大學前曾當過廚師。he called me after he had finished his work. 他在工作完之后給我打了個電話。注:若主句和從句兩個動作發生的先后順序十分接近,那么也可以不用完成時態,例如上面的第二句可改成:he called me after he finished his work. 5. as soon as引導的時間狀語從句,譯為“一就”。eg.he will go to see you as soon as she gets here. 他一到這里就會去看你。she got everything ready as soon as she got to school. 她一到學校就把一切都準備好了。6. since引導的時間狀語從句,譯為“自從”,主句常用現在完成時,從句常用一般過去時。eg.we have made many dumplings since we began to cook. 自從我們開始做飯起,我們已經包了許多餃子了。we havent seen each other since we parted. 我們自從分手以后一直沒見過面。注:常用句型:it is +時間段+since從句 譯為:自從有多長時間了。eg.it is six years since she graduated from the university. 自從她大學畢業已有六年的時間了。7. till和until引導的時間狀語從句,譯為“直到為止”,not till / until引導的時間狀語從句,譯為“直到才”。前者強調主句動作的結束,用延續性動詞,后者強調主句動作的開始,用點動詞。eg.i will wait for my friend until / till he comes. 我要一直等到我朋友來。we wont start our discussion until / till he comes. 我們要等到他來了,再開始我們的討論。二、讓步壯語從句:though, although注意: 當有though, although時,后面的從句不能有but,但是 though 和yet可連用although its raining, they are still working in the field.雖然在下雨,但他們仍在地里干活。he is very old, but he still works very hard.雖然他很老,但仍然努力地工作。though the sore be healed, yet a scar may remain.傷口雖愈合,但傷疤留下了。 (諺語)典型例題1) _she is young, she knows quite a lot. a. whenb. however c. although d. unless答案:c。意為雖然她很年輕,卻知道許多。2)as, though 引導的倒裝句as / though引導的讓步從句必須表語或狀語提前(形容詞、副詞、分詞、實義動詞提前)。child as /though he was, he knew what was the right thing to do.= though he was a small child, he knew what was the right thing to do.注意: a.句首名詞不能帶任何冠詞。b.句首是實義動詞,其他助動詞放在主語后。如果實義動詞有賓語和狀語,隨實義動詞一起放在主語之前。try hard as he will, he never seems able to do the work satisfactorily.= though he tries hard, he never seems雖然
