推薦信格式英文
1.被推薦人的基本情況介紹。側(cè)重于個人的畢業(yè)時間、學校、所獲學位以及個人的專業(yè)經(jīng)歷。
2.推薦人對被推薦人的基本評價。側(cè)重于被推薦人的專業(yè)基礎、個性、特點、工作態(tài)度和在學術上的前途估計。若是推薦研究生,推薦人還需進一步說明其深造學習的基礎和當前所具備的研究能力。顯然,恰如其分地評價被推薦人的基礎、能力和前途,比言過其實的贊譽更令人情服,更具有實際意義。
3.推薦人可以著重介紹被推薦人曾經(jīng)獲得的獎勵,發(fā)表過的論文,參加過的重要學術會議,以及曾在學生組織或?qū)W術團體中的任職等來支持自己的評價。
4.推薦人還必須清楚地表明被推薦人留學的身份是研究生還是訪問學者,專業(yè)領域和研究方向是什么。
如果大學提供了現(xiàn)成的推薦表格,則必須按這類表格認真逐項填寫。推薦表格中一般有學生綜合評估的一項,即要求推薦人說明該生在所教的學生中應列為前5%,10%,或25%等。這種評估是指教授的個人評價,可以稍高一點。
另外,推薦表格上常有許多難以填寫的項目,遇到該情形可填“Idon'tknow”,亦不致對該生的評價有何嚴重影響。
1.就學校方面
首先,必須先了解申請專業(yè)的特點(推薦信內(nèi)容可以強調(diào)此特點);整理各校對推薦信內(nèi)容的要求,即可得到關于評估的基本要求(例如,學術研究能力、創(chuàng)造力等),以及特殊要求(例如,對研究領域的適應度等)。試想:你認為錄取委員會希望由推薦信獲取那些關于你的信息。
2.就個人方面
分析自己的優(yōu)缺點,在校成績以及工作表現(xiàn),有無特殊經(jīng)歷可以展現(xiàn)自己在此研究領域的潛力,或擁有那些特殊的能力,依此作為選擇老師寫推薦信及提供了解你的基礎。
并以明確具體的證據(jù)來支持證明自己的特殊能力和個人特點(例如,試驗成果、研究計劃、學術出版物、課外活動等)。
3.就推薦者方面
推薦信是了解申請人的重要依據(jù),在研究生課程中尤其如此。申請人可以選擇現(xiàn)在或以前的老師、教授或雇主。推薦人必須熟悉學生的學習情況,了解學生的學習目的是否明確,在學術上是否有前途,以及學生的適應能力、創(chuàng)造能力、品行和特長。
書寫推薦信的.最理想的人選是一封由系主任寫,一封由專業(yè)課教授寫,一封由自己的導師寫。不過,對方若無規(guī)定,則除了自己的親屬之外,任何人皆可為推薦人。
推薦人一般應具備高級技術職稱,如教授、副教授、研究員、副研究員等。如果推薦人在國內(nèi)外學術界享有盛譽,或者被申請就讀學校聘為客座教授,或者曾經(jīng)在該校講過學,那么這樣的推薦人寫的推薦信就具有很強的效力了。

一般而言,推薦信需要三封,最好三封各有其強調(diào)的重點,以完全申請人的特點與才華,推薦信的基本組成除信頭、發(fā)信日期、收信人性命、地址、稱呼、簽名、推薦人性命、職務等外,信件內(nèi)容還應包括以下各項:
1.被推薦者全名:不可全文都只寫Mr.Huang和MissHe,需要明確寫出被推薦者的全明至少以次。
2.認識期間:何時認識?或認識多久?
3.認識程度:偶爾見面或者密切接觸,例如任課老師或者班主任等。
4.與申請人之間的關系:老師或者部門主管等。
5.學業(yè)成績:討論申請人擅長與不擅長的學習領域。
6.個人成就:在學校、工作或家庭中的特殊表現(xiàn)。如曾經(jīng)獲得某種獎學金、工作中表現(xiàn)優(yōu)秀等。
7.特殊才能:語言、藝術、體育等方面的特殊能力
