diseaseandenteritintothemedicaldictionary.Theprogramhasaddedatleast25
entirelynewdiseasesinthisway.Additionally,theUDNcoversthecostofthetests,
meaningpatientsaren’tburdenedwithcrushingmedicaldebt.

Research.ShesaystheUDN’smultidisciplinaryapproach—bringingdifferent
specialiststogethertotalkaboutchallengingcases—hashelpedadvancethefieldof
rarediseaseresearch,especiallywhenitcomestogeneticdiseases.
