很久之前在一個(gè)小村莊里住著婆羅門(mén)人,他們一起長(zhǎng)大成為了好伴侶。其中三個(gè)人學(xué)問(wèn)淵博,剩下的那一位卻大多數(shù)時(shí)間都在吃和睡,大家都認(rèn)為他很蠢。后來(lái)一場(chǎng)饑荒攻擊了村子。四個(gè)好伴侶打算離開(kāi)。在途中他們碰見(jiàn)了一堆獅子的骨頭。其中一個(gè)博學(xué)的人說(shuō)他能把獅子骨頭變成活生生的獅子……

OnceuponatimeinasmallvillagelivedfourBrahminsnamedSatyanand,Vidhyanand,DharmanandandSivanand.Theyhadgrownuptogethertobeegoodfriends.Satyanand,VidhyanandandDharmanandwereveryknowledgeable1.ButSivanandspentmostofhistimeeatingandsleeping.Hewasconsideredfoolishbyeveryone.

Oncefaminestruckthevillage.Allthecropsfailed.Riversandlakesstartedtodryup.Thepeopleofthevillagesstartedmovingtoothervillagestosavetheirlives.

“Wealsoneedtomovetoanotherplacesoonorelsewewillalsodielikemanyothers,saidSatyanand.Theyallagreedwithhim.

“ButwhataboutSivanand?AskedSatyanand.

“Doweneedhimwithus?Hehasnoskillsorlearning.Wecannottakehimwithus,repliedDharmanand.“Hewillbeaburdenonus.

“Howcanweleavehimbehind?Hegrewupwithus,saidVidhyanand.“Wewillsharewhateverweearnequallyamongthefourofus.

TheyallagreedtotakeSivanandalongwiththem.

Theypackedallnecessarythingsandsetoutforanearbytown.Ontheway,theyhadtocrossaforest.

Astheywerewalkingthroughtheforest,theycameacrossthebonesofananimal.Theybecamecuriousandstoppedtotakeacloserlookatthebones.

“Thosearethebonesofalion,saidVidhyanand.

Theothersagreed.

“Thisisagreatopportunitytotestourlearning,saidSatyanand.

“Icanputthebonestogether.Sosaying,hebroughtthebonestogethertoformtheskeleton2ofalion.
