Theclasswasfulloflovelypeoplewhoglidedeffortlessly,seeminglyneverconfusedaboutwheretomovenextorwhatthenamesofthemoveswere.Theyassuredmethattheyhadbeenbeginnersoncetoo,andthatIwouldbeabletorememberallthemoveswithinthreeorfouryears.Threetofouryears!Graduatedegreestooklesstime.

ButIcouldseetheywereright.Aftersixmonths,Istillfounditdifficulttocompleteeventheopening13movesonmyown.Icouldonlywatchandcopy,watchandcopy-waitingforthedaythatmyownbodywouldmemorizetheinternalrhythmsoftheset.
